Flooded Meadows at Old Amersham

31st January..... Very Cold, (minus 6 degrees).

A very cold start with a good hoarfrost. Bullfinches waiting their turn at the busy feeders. A pair of magpies flew in but couldn’t stay for more than a minute, the resident crows soon saw them off. A nice walk late morning. On way back from shopping mid-afternoon noticed redwings on the side of the road close to home so after unpacking  went back in the car with camera. They looked cold and hungry.

Marsh Tit at the garden feeders briefly for the first time this winter, with 10 Chaffinch feeding together on the scattered seed. Raven over.
