3rd June..... Orchids.

A visit to BBOWT Aston Clinton Ragpits this afternoon to look for butterflies and orchids. Only found one small heath butterfly and two common blue on the wing but the early flowering orchids were showing well.

Common twayblade.

Common spotted Orchid.

Greater butterfly Orchid.

Chalk fragrant Orchid.

                                                                                                   Also white helleborine. Just one or two pyramidal orchids showing and no bee orchids.
