26th August - 1st September.

26th the rain which lasted through out the day was preceded by a mixed flock of  c30 Tits that stayed in the garden for a couple of hours.
27th a couple of noisy Buzzards over. Visited Weston Turville Reservoir, not much just a pair of Mute Swans with a single juvenile, Heron & a migrating flock of c40 House Martins which feed briefly before moving on.
28th  a Tawny Owl has been visiting the garden pond judging by a couple of feathers I found on the grass perimeter. A couple of Ravens near Risborough. Green Woodpecker peering through the foliage of the garden Oak. Fox sneakily skirting round the fields at 5pm. Stewart & myself came across another Fox at dusk as we located 3 calling Tawny Owls.
29th rudely woken by a Tawny Owl outside the window at day break. In addition to the earlier Latimer post, I also recorded 2 Ravens, Ring-necked Parakeet, Fox & 11 more Tufted Ducks during my brief visit.
30th 33 House Martins above our house at 7-15pm.
31st 12 Goldfinch over at 8-000am, mixed flock of Tits in the garden again.
1st September 2 migrant Chiffchaffs searching for insects in the canopy, 2 Speckled Wood butterflies & again in the evening 15 House Martins above the house. Later just after dark, we found a nice Toad just by the back door; not seen one for a couple of years.
