9th September.....Sparrow Hawk; Bathing.

Since the summer of 2016, when he was a youngster; we've had a male Sparrow Hawk; that's been given the nick name: Sprawky, visit our garden pond regularly for a wash & brush up. This summer he's been noticeable by his absence. Today being only the third occasion he's been seen; spending fifteen minutes at the pond, while I managed to grab a few images. Such a privilege to be so close to such a stunning predator.
